Ginger is a carminative for the digestive system, decreasing inflammation, bloating, cramping and relieves constipation.
Pineapple - contains an enzyme called Bromelain to help repair the gut lining, improve the breakdown of foods and decrease body inflammation. Higher amounts of Bromelain are found in the core of the pineapple.
1/2 cup pineapple including core
2 cm ginger
1 cm turmeric, fresh or 1/4 tsp powdered
1/2 banana
1 cup almond/nut milk**
1 tablespoon Collagen powder or Chia Jelly*
1 tablespoon flaxseeds
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon Slippery Elm powder
Blend ingredients together. Serve.
*Replace with 1 teaspoon chia jelly for plant-based alternative
Chia or Flax Jelly
1 tablespoon of flaxseeds or chia seeds
3 tablespoons of water
Grind flax or chia seeds in a coffee or a nut grinder. Don’t over grind otherwise you will end up with chia/flax butter instead.
Put ground flax or chia seeds into a bowl and stir 3 water into it.
